A win for Derby County against Ipswich Town could move them into the top two of the Championship table.
The Rams are in great form going into Saturday’s clash at Portman Road, having only lost once in their nine league matches and keeping five consecutive clean sheets.
However, that loss came at home to Ipswich last month, with a Callum Connolly goal after just five minutes handing the Tractor Boys all three points on the day.
Mick McCarthy’s side have only won one of their last four league matches and they are currently tenth in the league table, five points off of the play-off places.
Ipswich are currently suffering from an injury crisis, with Teddy Bishop’s season-ending injury that he suffered on Boxing Day against Queens Park Rangers making him the eighth central midfielder that is currently sidelined for the Tractor Boys.
Emyr Huws and Andre Dozzell are also out for the remainder of the season due to knee injuries. Tom Adayemi (hamstring), Flynn Downes (calf), Tristian Nydam (hip) and Luke Hyam (knee) are still unavailable and Cole Skuse (ankle) remains a doubt.
Kevin Bru could return to the side after missing the goalless draw with QPR on Tuesday.
Whilst for the visitors, Bradley Johnson is a doubt for the match after suffering an injury in their last match against Hull.
Meanwhile, former Ipswich man Tom Lawrence could be fit to play for Derby at his former stomping ground.
It will be the 85th ever meeting between the two sides. Derby’s recent record at Portman Road is good, having lost only once in their last five trips to Suffolk.
Whilst both teams are pushing to be in contention for promotion, Derby showed signs of complacency during their draw against Hull on Boxing Day.
Derby could struggle at the home of the Blues tomorrow, where Ipswich will make it very difficult for the Rams to take away all three points.
Score Prediction: Ipswich Town 1-1 Derby County
