Hull City weighing up move for Kilmarnock and Northern Ireland star

Championship side Hull City are weighing up a move for Kilmarnock and Northern Ireland star Jordan Jones, according to the Daily Mail.

The Tigers have joined Burnley, Norwich City and Rangers in the race for Jones. He has impressed for Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership this season and has 18 months left on his contract.

His form for Kilmarnock attracted the attention of Michael O’Neill who handed Jones his Northern Ireland debut in November against Switzerland.

The 23 year-old winger, born in Middlesbrough, came up through the academy at Boro but only made a single senior appearance for them. He got his first taste of first-team experience on loan at Hartlepool United in League Two in 2014 and then at Cambridge United in 2015.

Jones was released by Boro at the end of the 2015/16 season and he signed for Kilmarnock in June 2016. He has played over 50 games for them since.

He has caught the eye of Championship side Hull City who could move for him in January. Their new boss, Nigel Adkins, will be looking to make some signings to put his own stamp on his team. The Tigers will be looking to strengthen their squad in the next month to help them climb up the table after a poor start to the campaign.

Jones will not be easy to sign for Hull and they will face a lot of competition for him. Hull fans will be hoping that they can make some signings in January as well as hold onto some of their star players like Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki.
