Parkin linked with Lincoln City?

Veteran Striker Jon Parkin has been linked with a move to Conference Premier club Lincoln City since his release from promoted Fleetwood Town FC as reported in the Lincolnshire Echo

Parkin has been linked with the club multiple times before however Lincoln have  been unable to afford a player of his calibre.

Rumours ignited  when Imps boss Gary Simpson was quizzed over the potential switch where he would not confirm the rumour but stated:

“We will have to wait and see. It’s like the Hamza (Bencherif), people might come in and we will do them a favour and you never know, they might do us a favour.”

ParkinThe well travelled striker signed on a free transfer for at the time League Two Fleetwood Town where he helped them gain promotion to League One in a 2 year spell at the club. During this time he made 64 appearances getting on the score sheet 22 times for The Cod Army.

With options becoming sparse for ‘The Beast’ it is believed that the pull of first team football might be a too compelling to the 32-year-old & we might well see him in the Lincoln City Strip next season.
