Lincoln City full-back Neal Eardley believes that anybody can beat anybody in SkyBet League Two.
The former Welsh international joined the Imps on a deal until January 2018 in the summer but has since signed a deal to keep him at Sincil Bank until the end of the season.
The Imps sit sixth in SkyBet League Two but former Premier League full-back Eardley believes it could all change in an instant. Speaking to the press, he said:
“We know in this division, anybody can beat anybody on their day. We’ll take it each game as it comes and look to put in the best performance that we can.
“If we keep doing what we have in recent weeks, then it’s a good opportunity to pick up some points.”
The experienced defender has relished his move to the Imps, and he believes that the four game winning streak can give them momentum going into the festive period:
“In recent weeks we’ve been performing really well so it’s always nice to have a little bit of momentum going into the busy period.”
Now 29, the full-back has see this stage of the season plenty of times and believes that him and his teammates are mentally prepared to get themselves through the busy run of fixtures.
“We’re used to it now. A lot of the lads in the squad know what it’s all about. We’re looking forward to it.
“We all know our bodies. On Christmas Day, we might have to have a few less Yorkshire puddings. We’ll all look after ourselves the best we can to give us the best opportunities in the games.”
