Fulham favourite returns to full training following injury

Fulham forward Lucas Piazon has made his long-awaited return to full training after recovering from a broken leg according to Get West London.

The 23-year-old Sao Paulo born frontman rejoined The Cottagers on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea in the summer following a similar successful stint last term but the player broke his leg during a goalless draw with Leeds United at Elland Road in August.

Piazon’s presence in the Fulham squad has been missed with the player having scored twice in his three outings so far this season but the Brazilian forward has now handed The Whites a real boost by making his return to full training.

The player came through the Chelsea academy system after joining the club as a teenager from hometown club Sao Paulo in 2011. Piazon has made three first team appearances for The Blues however the forward has not made a single outing for the club since December 2012 and has been loaned out to Malaga, Vitesse Arnhem, Eintracht Frankfurt and Reading prior to his two spells at Craven Cottage.

Piazon helped Fulham to the Sky Bet Championship play-offs last season and the club will be hoping that the player’s imminent return can spark a real upturn in fortunes during the second half of the season.
