Owls aim to swoop away with three points at Norwich City

Sheffield Wednesday will aim to mount a push for the Sky Bet Championship play-offs when they travel to Norwich City on Saturday.

The Owls will be hoping that they can reduce the gap between themselves and the play-off spaces with a win over the Canaries, potentially reducing the gap to five points should other results go in their favour.

Meanwhile Daniel Farke will be looking to get his first League win in seven matches – when the Nortfolk side defeated Ipswich 1-0 in the East Anglian Derby – as the Canaries host Wednesday. Goalscoring appears to be the main problem for the Championship side, with City scoring just four times in their previous six League fixtures, conceding ten matches in that timeframe.

Head to head

The Canaries have won only once of their previous twelve League matches against Sheffield Wednesday, drawing twice and losing nine of the previous fixtures. However the Owls will be hoping to improve their goalscoring record at Carrow Road, scoring six goals in their last 13 league visits to Norfolk, failing to score in eight of those fixtures.

Team news

Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal will hope that full-back Jack Hunt and striker Steven Fletcher will have regained enough fitness in order to feature, while centre-back Tom Lees is ruled out until January due to a groin injury.

Alex Tettey (calf) and Jamal Lewis (knee) are close to a return for the Canaries, however the hosts remain without the injured Marley Watkins and James Husband.

Betting odds

Coral offer odds of 5/4 for a Norwich City victory on Saturday.
