Barnsley currently sit in 17th position in the Championship table, with 20 points from their 17 league games. Leeds are 10th in the table, with 26 points from their 18 league games.

Barnsley suffered their first defeat in 5 league games on Tuesday night in their 1-0 loss at home to Cardiff. Prior to their defeat, the Tykes picked up respectable away points at Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday, and defeated both Burton and Birmingham comfortably.
Leeds have lost 7 of their last 9, including a 4-1 defeat to table topping Wolves. They did however, end a run of three consecutive defeats last weekend, beating former manager Garry Monk’s Middlesbrough 2-1. The Whites will need to find some consistency if they are to claim back a play off spot.

Striker Tom Bradshaw will face a late test ahead of kick off, after he picked up a bruised back in a car accident this week. Midfielder Joe Williams is back in contention, after he missed Tuesday nights defeat to Cardiff through suspension. Angus McDonald could return to the side after recovering from a foot injury. Mamadou Thiam and Zeki Fryers will also be assessed after picking up knocks on Tuesday night.
Striker Pierre Michel-Lasogga remains unavailable for Leeds, after missing the last two games due to illness. Stuart Dallas is also ruled out after suffering a reaction to the knock he picked up on international duty. Ronaldo Vieira is suspended for the clash, after picking up a red card in the 4-1 defeat at Wolves.
HEAD TO HEAD
This match will be the sides 61st meeting since their first in 1921. Leeds just about edge the record, having won on 23 occasions in comparison to Barnsley’s 20. It wa the Tykes who came out on top in the previous meeting, winning 3-2 at Oakwell back in January. (11v11)

Barnsley are notorious for beating Leeds United on their own turf, but I think the Whites will have too much quality for this Barnsley side.
