Leeds United fall apart once again – Twitter Reacts

Tonight, Leeds United suffered their eighth loss of the season at the hands of title favourites Wolves following a 4-1 defeat at Molineux. The result puts Wolves four points clear at the top of the table but it sees Leeds drop down to 10th on goal difference.

Wolves opened the scoring after just 15 minutes with an incredible free kick by Douglas. The kick from the right-hand side evaded the hand of Andy Lonergan who was grasping at thin air as nestled into the top right-hand corner.  The league leaders doubled their lead little over 10 minutes later as Cavaleiro smashed a well-hit shot from 12-yards out which, although hit the hand of Andy Lonergan, had too much power on it for the veteran goalkeeper to keep out.

Three minutes into the second half Leeds pulled one back after Alioski found himself in behind the Wolves defence and struck a wonderful left-footed volley past the helpless John Ruddy. But on the hour mark, Leeds United were reduced to 10 men after youngster Ronaldo Viera got dismissed for a second bookable offence.

Any hope Leeds had of getting back into the game were absolutely destroyed as Costa teed up Jota who beautifully chipped the ball over the quickly advancing Andy Lonergan to put the hosts 3-1 up. Just six minutes later Wolves confirmed Leeds would be going back up to West Yorkshire with nothing as Costa scored a firmly hit penalty following a foul in the box by goalkeeper Andy Lonergan on Bonatini.

So, how did the wonderful world of twitter react to the result?
