5 updated candidates to become the new manager of Bury FC

League One side Bury FC are still looking for a new manager after sacking Lee Clark. They are 23rd in the division. Here are 5 candidates-

Ryan Lowe- The 39 year-old is currently in temporary charge of the club. He is many bookies’ favourites to land the full-time job. He had 3 spells at Bury as a player, raking up over 200 appearances for the North West club.

Simon Grayson- He has recently been sacked by Championship strugglers Sunderland. He only joined them in the summer from Preston North End but it has not worked out for him in the North East. He is looking to get back into management as soon as possible and has been linked with Bury. He is somewhat of a League One specialist, having won promotion from the division with Leeds, Huddersfield and Preston.

Chris Luketti- The 46 year-old played 235 appearances for Bury as a player. However, his only past managerial experience was in caretaker charge of Fleetwood Town in 2016. This would certainly be a left-field appointment if Bury opted for their former defender.

Alan Stubbs- He has been looking for a job since being sacked by Rotherham in the Championship last season. He worked wonders with Hibernian in Scotland winning the Scottish cup. He deserves another chance in England and would be interested in a move to Bury.

Steve Evans- The former Boston United, Crawley Town, Rotherham United, Leeds United and current Mansfield Town boss is being linked with a move to Bury. Could he be persuaded by a move from League Two to League One?
