Lincoln City head coach Danny Cowley has told Lincolnshire Live that Norwich City will recall Sean Raggett so they can use him in their FA Cup 3rd Round match.
Raggett was one of the most impressive players for Lincoln as they got promoted from the Vanarama National and reached the quarter finals of the FA Cup but this was always going to attract interest from other clubs. And so it was, as Norwich City would snap him up. However they would end up sending Raggett back on loan to Lincoln to help them upon their return to Sky Bet League Two.
But it appears that Raggett will soon be heading back to Norwich City to make his debut. The Canaries automatically qualify for the Third Round of the FA Cup due to being a Sky Bet Championship team and already planning on how they will approach the competition, and according to Cowley Raggett is part of those plans.
Cowley said: “You don’t want to be without an important player, but he’s Norwich’s player and they’ve been excellent to deal with,”
“They’re planning to involve him in that game and, if they do, that would be brilliant for Sean.”
“They’re two months away from entering the third round but that is their thinking at present.”
Raggett could possibly return to Lincoln after playing in the FA Cup, but Cowley doesn’t know if he would be heading back to Sincil Bank after making his debut for Norwich.
He added: “We’ll have to wait and see. A day is a long time in football, let alone nine weeks,”
