There are so many comings and goings in the transfer window nowadays that it is rare for players to stay at a club for long. Here are the 5 longest serving players in the Championship-

5. Wes Hoolahan, Norwich City- The 35 year-old has been with the Canaries for 9 years and 4 months. The Republic of Ireland international joined Norwich from Blackpool in 2007. He had previously played for Shelbourne and Livingston.

4. Tommy Smith, Ipswich Town- The centre-back has been at Ipswich for 10 years and 4 months. The New Zealand international was born in England and was a product of the Ipswich academy.

3. Chris Cohen, Nottingham Forest- The midfielder has played for Forest for 10 years and 4 months. The 30 year-old has played 271 games for Forest and joined them in 2007 from Yeovil Town. He scored for them on the final day of last season against Ipswich which helped them preserve their Championship status.

2. Gabby Agbonlahor, Aston Villa- The 31 year-old has been with Aston Villa for 12 years and 4 months. He was a product of the Villa and has never left the club permanently. He has been close to leaving on numerous occasions but moves have never materialised. He has played over 300 games for the Midlands club in a career where he has been unlucky with injuries. Nevertheless, he has still been a great servant to Aston Villa.

He was a product of the Wolves academy and has made over 150 appearnces for them. He has also had 8 loan spells out of Molinuex in his career.
