5 potential transfer targets for Reading this summer

Martin Kelly– An all-round defensive player who can play anywhere across the back 4 and in the centre of midfield is exactly what Reading need so they can maintain a low salary average as well as have 1 or 2 reserves in each position. A player who would fit this bill would be Martin Kelly, in the dark at Liverpool and desperate to be playing first team football this could be a perfect scenario for him in a promotion chasing side. Unlikely to want to completely drop down a division and give up all hope of playing for Liverpool again, a season-long loan would be the best option for the Merseysider who has 1 England cap. Strong, quick and with a great aerial presence Kelly also has some big game experience having played against the big 4 in England as well as being a part of the England squad that travelled to Euro 2012. This would be a real coup and a signal of intent, perhaps unrealistic but when players are desperate they will go anywhere to prove their worth.
