As well as scintillating early season performances driving the Leeds United to the top of the Sky Bet Championship table, the Whites are also on a bit of a run in the Carabao Cup.
Lower league sides Port Vale and Newport County were put to the sword 4-1 and 5-1 respectively with Samu Saiz and Kemar Roofe scoring hat-tricks in the above games.
Those two results brought about a third round tie with Premier League Burnley who, whilst not putting out a full-strength starting XI, played a side many would see as capable of putting an equally not full strength Leeds United side to the sword.
In truth it was an evenly-matched game that was dragged into extra-time and the lottery that is penalties before Stuart Dallas’ spot-kick (video-below) sealed the Whites place in the fourth round, and a tie against recent Premier League winners Leicester City.

On paper, it looks to be a tie that you’d expect the Foxes to win, and win easily given their Premier League status and the class that they have available to them to put out tonight at the King Power Stadium.
However, many are not underestimating the task that managerless Leicester face tonight against a dangerous Leeds United side, and that includes the Foxes caretaker boss Michael Appleton (tweet – below).

For Leeds United fans themselves, it will be a chance to see their side turn out against a more-than-decent Premier League set-up. It will also allow the very same fans to see the Leicester game as another masuring stick as to how close/how far away the Whites are from mixing it with the Premier League big-boys.
As such, Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter ahead of the game.

Aside from these fans who are excited to be on the road and hoping that the Whites will see the game through with a victory, many fans on Twitter are hoping that there’s a few spare/unwanted tickets floating around out there – well going by the requests it seems that they are.
