Leeds United defender Luke Ayling has signed a new four year deal at the club to keep him at Elland Road until 2021, according to the clubs official site.
Ayling has established himself as one of the clubs most consistent players over the last 14 months since his 2016 summer arrival from fellow Championship outfit Bristol City.
He is the only member of the Leeds squad to feature in every single game in all competitions this season, emphasising the importance of the 26 year-old to the the Whites squad.
The nature of his performances were particularly shown as Ayling captained the club for the first time this season in the Carabao Cup tie at home to Port Vale. Leeds went onto win 4-1 in his first game as captain.
He joins a long list of first team players at Leeds who have committed their long term futures to the club. These include the likes of Ronaldo Vieria, Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Eunan O’Kane and Gaetano Berardi.
