The 21-year-old Biddulph born frontman is thought to be available for loan after failing to break into the first team picture at Old Trafford.

Sky Bet Championship pair Leeds United and Reading were two of the first clubs to be linked with moves for the player however The Royals boss Stam has confirmed that he is not looking to sign the youngster any time soon despite considering moving for Wilson in the summer.

The young striker is a product of the academy system at Old Trafford and Wilson has gone on to make 20 senior appearances for The Red Devils in which he has scored four goals.

Wilson has not featured for Manchester United since a League Cup tie against Middlesbrough almost two years ago and the player has spent much of the recent times on loan away from the English Premier League club.

The youngster spent most of the 2015/2016 campaign on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion where he made 27 appearances and scored five goals. Wilson joined Derby County on loan early last season but injury prematurely ended his spell at Pride Park.

With Wilson again ready to go out on loan, the player is very likely to feature for another club in the Sky Bet Championship this term.
