Brentford’s Florian Jozefzoon has told the club website that he believes that they can turn their draws into wins in the next few weeks.
The Bees got off to a bad start and struggled at the bottom of the Sky Bet Championship for a while but recently they have gone on an unbeaten run. While that sounds good on paper, it is however not as good as it looks when you examine it a bit closer. They haven’t lost in their last four games, but only one of those games saw Brentford win, the other being draws.
This means that Brentford are still at the wrong end of the table. But Jozefzoon, who has been in good form in recent weeks and is one of the reasons the West London club has stopped losing, believes they will be able to start winning rather than drawing in the next few weeks.
He said: “If you can’t win the game then you have to not lose the game and that is what we have done in the last five games. Some of those draws have felt like defeat but we are in good shape to turn those draws into wins. Every game that we play we go to play for the three points. We just focus on who we are playing and give everything to win every game.”
“After pre-season, when I started very well, my form dropped away but now it is starting to come again,”
“I want to keep it that way throughout the season. When you are playing well you are important for the team. When someone is playing well, the team will try to give them everything that they need because they can help to win the game.”
