A huge amount of money was being thrown around by Championship clubs in the summer, here are the 10 most expensive signings-

10. Aboubakar Kamara, Fulham, £5.4 million- The 22 year-old striker joined Fulham from Amiens in France, who he scored 15 goals for last season. he has scored twice for Fulham so far.

9. Famara Diedhiou, Bristol City, £5.4 million- The Senegal international was signed from French club Angers to replace the goals of Tammy Abraham for the Robins. He has scored 6 so far.

8. Jota, Birmingham, £6.5 million- Former Blues boss Harry Redknapp saw off a lot of competition and lured the Spaniard from rivals Brentford.

7. Ashley Fletcher, Middlesbrough, £7 million- Boro swooped to sign the striker from West Ham. Fletcher impressed on a loan spell at Barnsley in 2015/16 when he was Manchester United.

6. Sone Aluko, Reading, £7.5 million- Jaap Stam signed former Birmingham, Rangers and Hull City forward Aluko from London rivals Fulham.

5. Rui Fonte, Fulham, £8.2 million- The Portuguese striker was signed by Jokanovic from Benfica. He has scored once for Fulham so far.

4. Martin Braithwaite, Middlesbrough, £10 million- Middlesbrough splashed the cash in the summer and they paid Saint Ettienne a hefty price for Denmark international Martin Braithwaite.

3. Jordan Rhodes, Sheffield Wednesday, £10.5 million- The Owls had agreed to turn Rhodes’s loan from Middlesbrough in January into a permanent deal in the summer.

2. Britt Assombalonga, Middlesbrough, £15 million- Boro signed the prolific striker from Nottingham Forest. He ahs scored 5 in 8 games so far for them.

  1. Ruben Neves, Wolves, £16 million- The biggest surprise signing in the summer in the Championship. Wolves somehow managed to sign Portugal international Neves from FC Porto.
