Sky Bet Championship rivals Birmingham City and Fulham are understood to be watching giant centre-back Lex Allan according to Get West London.
The 19-year-old 6ft 7in defender currently plays his football in the Isthmian League Division One South with Kent club Sittingbourne and the player is putting in some impressive displays for The Brickies.
It has now been reported that Sky Bet Championship clubs Birmingham City and Fulham could opt to make moves for the youngster after scouts were impressed with Allan when they travelled to the south east to watch him in action.
Both clubs were thought to be interested in Bristol City defender Aden Flint in the summer who is of a similar size and build to Allan and after missing out on that particular player, they could see the Sittingbourne star as a long term alternative.
Birmingham City and Fulham are not the only professional clubs said to be tracking the youngster, Allan has recently been training with Millwall while English Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace are also keen to make their own assessment of the player’s talents.
Sittingbourne are likely to want to receive an upfront six-figure fee for Allan while any potential deal is expected to include a number of financial incentives for the non-league club which will benefit them for years to come.
