Championship 11 Game Report: Grading every team in the Championship (24th-13th)

20th Reading: F

Last season’s play-off finalists have not won since the end of August and are already 11 points off the play-offs. Jaap Stam did well to guide Reading to a 3rd place finish last season, but performances have dropped from last season. The loss of Ali Al-Habsi was a big one, but Reading should be doing much better.

19th Brentford: D

After a 10th place finish last season, many thought Brentford would be play-off contenders this time round. However, they did not win until 23rd September and that is still there only win to date in the Championship. Brentford have not been playing bad, they just haven’t been taking their chances and have sold several key players.

18th Barnsley: D

After an impressive campaign last time out, Barnsley were never going start off as well as they did in 2016/17. Losing Sam Winnall and Conor Hourihane last season stifled their season and this summer they lost Marley Watkins and Josh Scowen. A decent start but Reds fans would like to see their team closer to mid-table.

17th Hull City: F

The Tigers go into the international break on the back of a 6-1 win over Birmingham. Whilst Jarrod Bowen has been a shining light, Hull have not had the greatest start to the season. They have showed signs of quality and if they can string a few results together, they’ll be in the top ten come the end of the season.
