Norwich City will start scoring goals promises Cameron Jerome

Norwich City’s Cameron Jerome has promised to the Pink ‘Un that they will soon start scoring goals.

One of the biggest issues that Norwich have had since the start of their season is their inability to hit the back of net and this was never shown better than in their 0-0 draw with Bristol City at the weekend. So far this season they have only scored eight goals with only Bolton Wanderers, Birmingham City, Burton Albion and Reading having worse tallies. Considering that two of those teams are currently in the relegation zone, it’s a bad omen for the Canaries.

But Jerome, who has usually been great at scoring goals in the Sky Bet Championship but has only netted once this season, has told fans to keep the faith as believes that the team will soon get over this issue. The reason it hasn’t happened yet is that everything hasn’t clicked yet but when it does the team will match the high scoring they were able to do last year.

He said: “Last year we were the top scoring team in the Championship, along with Fulham and Newcastle, and the goals were spread out right through the team. That will be the case again this year, I really believe that, when we click,”

“I have been around and my record is there for everyone to see. I think with the attacking talent we have got and the way the manager wants to play football, he wants possession-based football, play through the middle and create overloads for the striker to get chances,

“I think once we really click into the method he wants – because there is still so much more to come from us – it is new to a lot of the lads, then we will be really difficult to stop.”
