Former Real Madrid ace linked with Bolton Wanderers move

Sky Bet Championship club Bolton Wanderers could look to complete the signing of former Real Madrid forward Julio Baptista after exiting a transfer embargo according to The Bolton News.

The 35-year-old veteran frontman is currently a free agent after leaving American Major League Soccer outfit Orlando City at the end of last season and the player has recently been linked with a move to The Macron Stadium.

With Bolton Wanderers now having exited one of the longest running transfer embargoes in English footballing history, the club are able to sign players once again and it is thought that The Trotters could look to conclude a deal for Baptista.

The Brazilian striker has enjoyed a successful career which has seen him score 13 goals for Spanish giants Real Madrid while the player has also represented the likes of Arsenal, AS Roma and Malaga.

Baptista, who is nicknamed ‘The Beast’ has represented Brazil on no less than 47 occasions throughout his career and the player would bring bags of worldwide playing experience while him to Lancashire should Bolton Wanderers agree to sign the player.

Wanderers are currently bottom of the Sky Bet Championship after failing to win any of their opening seven league matches and bringing in fresh faces could be key to improving the club’s chances of survival.
