Derby County are temporarily up to fourth in the Sky Bet Championship table after thrashing fellow promotion hopefuls Hull City 5-0 at Pride Park on Friday evening.
Matej Vydra and Bradley Johnson both netted doubles for The Rams while Curtis Davies also scored as Gary Rowett’s side put on a thoroughly entertaining performance for their fans.
Four of the goals came in the first half as Derby County took advantage of their opponents’ away day woes to put down a real marker in the race for promotion.
After enjoying watching a dominant display from their side, Derby County fans took to Twitter to give their views on a stunning performance by The Rams.
Fantastic performance from the whole team – clinical finishing, energy, pressing high up. Just as happy we kept the clean sheet too. #dcfc
