Championship outfit Sheffield United have confirmed that they have signed striker Clayton Donaldson from Birmingham City. The 33-year-old has signed a deal until the end of the season.

Donaldson started his career with Hull City, however, he only made two appearances for The Tigers. He signed for York City in 2005 and spent two years with the club. Donaldson scored 41 times in 85 games for York before signing for Scottish side Hibs. He spent a season with Hibs where he scored five times. Donaldson moved back to England in 2008 when he signed for Crewe.

After an impressive three years with Crewe -where he scored 47 times- he moved to Brentford. He was part of the Brentford side which won promotion to the Championship. Donaldson scored 53 goals in three seasons for The Bees. The 33-year-old signed for Birmingham in 2014. Donaldson scored 33 goals in three seasons for The Blues.

Sheffield United currently sit in fifth spot in the Championship as they look to earn back-to-back promotions. The Blades were tipped by many to go down, but they’re proving alot of people wrong at the moment.
