Twitter Reacts: Derby sign Winnall while Butterfield goes to Sheffield Wednesday

Jacob Butterfield started his career with Barnsley. He made 89 appearances for The Tykes and scored seven goals over a five-year period. Norwich City snapped him up in 2012, but he didn’t play one league game for The Canaries. After loan spells at Bolton and Crystal Palace, he signed for Middlesbrough. He only spent a season with Boro, but he scored three times in 31 appearances. Butterfield signed for Huddersfield in 2014, and he made 50 appearances for The Terriers before signing for Derby in 2015. He has played 76 times for The Rams scoring eight goals in the process.

While Winnall started his career with Wolves, but only made one senior appearance for the club. In 2013 he signed for Scunthorpe where he scored 23 goals in one season to earn himself a move to Barnsley. He was part of the Barnsley side which won promotion to the Championship via the Play-Offs. Winnall signed for The Owls in January. He scored four goals last season.
