Wolves looking to sign Middlesbrough midfielder in last few hours of deadline day

Wolves are hoping to use the last few hours of transfer deadline day wisely as they make a last-ditch attempt to sign Middlesbrough’s Adam Forshaw according to a report from the Football Insider.

While the 25-year-old midfielder is seen as a very talented player, he is someone who has fallen down the pecking order at Riverside in recent weeks. The signing of Jonny Howson was also going to make it a bit more of a struggle for him to get first team football but their head coach Garry Monk doesn’t seem to be a huge fan of the player and is now willing to sell him before the end of the transfer window tonight.

And while the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton and Hove Albion were interested in Forshaw earlier in the transfer window, Wolves are going to try and be the team to snap him up. They have plenty of money they still want to spend this summer and have already missed out on a few players today, meaning they have been forced to look to other targets. And while there is very little time in the day to sign him, they are doing their best to make Forshaw a Wolves player.

With Wolves willing to spend and Middlesbrough willing to sell, it seems like the main obstacle to this deal is the time left in the transfer window. There is just over an hour left in the window at the time of writing and it is now a race against the clock to get this deal done.
