Bolton Wanderers have signed Craig Noone from Cardiff City as confirmed by the club website.
While there was a lot of hope for Bolton when they were promoted back to the Sky Bet Championship at the first time of asking, the cold harsh light of reality soon hit. The club have struggled to bring in the players they wanted due to being placed under a transfer embargo which means they have severe restrictions of how much they can spend on players.
But even with that hanging over their head, they have been able to join in with the transfer deadline day fun after completing a deal to sign Noone who has signed a two-year deal with the Lancashire club. He has been a key player for Cardiff ever since he signed for them in 2012 and before that he was one of main reasons why Brighton and Hove Albion were able to make a triumphant return to the Championship. Now though he will start a new adventure with Bolton as he looks to help them dropping right back into Sky Bet League One.
After completing the move, Noone said: “I am delighted to get it all sorted and I cannot wait to play for Bolton Wanderers.”
“There had been some interest from other clubs, but Bolton was always my first choice.”
“They are a massive club and I am looking forward to getting going.”
Now that Noone will be concentrating on playing well for Bolton. His first chance to impress will be in their next match against Middlesbrough.
