Rochdale loan young Liverpool midfield ace

Sky Bet League One club Rochdale have completed the signing of Liverpool midfielder Jordan Williams on a loan deal until January according to the English Premier League club’s official website.

The 21-year-old Bangor born midfielder has made just one senior appearance for The Reds and has been permitted to leave the club on loan.

Williams has moved to Spotland on a loan deal which will initially expire in January although that deal could be extended should the arrangement benefit both clubs.

The player joins a Dale side who are desperately looking for quality following a poor start to the season. The Lancashire club have failed to win any of their opening four league matches and have picked up just two points in the process.

Williams joined Liverpool as a 13-year-old and has successfully graduated through the various youth levels to go on to be a regular for the club’s Development Squad in the Premier League 2. The player’s only senior appearance came back in 2014 when he featured against Middlesbrough in the League Cup.

The youngster has spent plenty of time away from Anfield in recent seasons with Williams having enjoyed loan spells with both Notts County and Swindon Town. The player has also played for Wales at Under-21 level on the international stage.
