QPR’s Yeni Ngbakoto looks set to stay at the club despite plenty of interest from France according to a report from Get West London.
The 25-year-old forward had been a mainstay of FC Metz for many years before deciding to head to QPR last season. However while there was plenty of high hopes when he signed on the dotted line at Loftus Road, he has failed to become a regular and has only made 26 appearances for the R’s in his debut season at the club. He was however able to score four goals during that time.
Because of this, QPR seemed willing to sell should a team offer the right price for him. And it appeared that a number of teams from over the Channel were lining up to sign him up. The likes of Nantes, Angers, Toulouse and Guingamp were all very interested in signing Ngbakoto and were considering making bids for him, especially with transfer window set to close very soon.
But Ngbakoto looks set to be a QPR player until the January transfer window at least. He seems to be very happy living in London and isn’t willing to head back to France just yet. He is hoping to show in the next few months that he can be a key player for the R’s and isn’t wanting to give up on his chance to play in this country just yet, especially with the West London side getting off to a solid start this season which suggests there is something great around the corner for the team.
