Birmingham City set to take trio from Brentford

The latest news is that Brentford’s right-back Maxime Colin is reportedly moving closer to a Birmingham City move according to the Birmingham Mail. Both clubs have agreed on a deal worth £2 million which would be the third player to swap Griffin Park for St. Andrews in the last 24 hours.

The 25-year-old right-back has made 62 appearances for Brentford during the last three seasons since signing from Anderlecht in 2015 for a fee believed to be around £900,000 and is now set to move to Birmingham City.

Birmingham City have managed to agree three deals with Brentford players during the last 24 hours with Spanish attacking midfielder Jota agreeing on a deal with the Blues, Harlee Dean signing for Harry Redknapp’s side and then the news that a fee has been agreed between the two clubs for Maxime Colin.

Harry Redknapp has brought in a number of players during this transfer window and if Colin would be another strong addition to a Birmingham City defence that has drastically improved during this transfer window with the recruitment of Barnsley’s Marc Roberts, Arsenal’s Cohen Bramall and Carl Jenkinson and Brentford’s Harlee Dean.

With just over five hours left during this transfer window, it is imperative that a deal is wrapped up quickly between both clubs to ensure that both clubs get the transfer deal that they want, or else they could miss out by the time that January comes back around.

With today being an incredibly busy day at Birmingham City, there is still expected to be the confirmation of a couple of signings to come including Brentford duo Colin and Jota; you have to wonder what sort of a season Brentford could be in for though with the club losing three of its key players in quick succession.
