Wolves are supposedly nearing a deal to sign Jürgen Locadia from PSV in the coming hours before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight according to Sky Sports News.

The Dutch striker has scored 37 goals in 114 games for PSV and appears to be high on Wolves’ priority list in terms of signing another player this deadline day.

Wolves have currently only got one senior striker in their side and given the fact that they’ve let Nouha Dicko depart to Hull City for an undisclosed fee and Joe Mason has moved to Burton Albion on a loan deal, they are trying to sign a striker as quickly as possible.

Locadia stands at 6ft tall and his aerial presence would be welcomed in a Wolves side that is hoping to take the Championship by storm this season under the guidance of new boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

With Locadia costing a fee of around £10m, Wolves would be spending a considerable fee on the striker who would be expected to help fire Wolves into contention for promotion this season. The Dutch forward has won the Eredivisie on two occasions with the Dutch side and his top-flight experience with PSV would stand him in fantastic stead should he move to the Championship.

With Locadia’s physicality and aerial ability, he would fit into the Championship perfectly and technically, he has the ability to not only fire Wolves into the Premier League with his goals but also, to remain as an integral part of the side should the get promotion into Englands top-flight.
