Leeds United have been made 12/1 outsiders to sign Burnley striker Ashley Barnes with bookies Sky Bet. Burnley will sell if the right offer comes up.

Burnley are on the verge of signing Nahki Wells from Huddersfield Town which would mean Burnley have six strikers at their disposal. Those six are Sam Vokes, Daniel Agyei, Ashley Barnes and their three new signings Jon Walters, Chris Wood who they signed from Leeds and Nahki Wells. Sam Vokes, Chris Wood, Jon Walters and Ashley Barnes are all simar players and given Barnes doesn’t start and Burnley would let him go for the right price it’s quite possible that Ashley Barnes could leave today.

Ashley Barnes has made 100 appearances for Burnley and in that time he’s scored 14 goals and got six assists. His record with Brighton in the Championship with Brighton is much as he scored 53 goals and picked up 22 assists in 170 games for the South coast club.

Premier League West Brom are the current favourites to sign the Austrian international with odds of 4/1 with Sky Bet. Wolves along with Newcastle are also highly interested in the attacker. But its seems to have been Swansea who have made the first move as, according to the Daily Mail live transfer page, the Swans have had an £8m bid rejected by Burnley.

Burnley seem to be holding out for a £10m bid but it’s currently unclear who, if anyone, is willing to pay that. There’s still 9 hours left in the window so we’ll just have to wait and see if anyone makes a move for the 27-year-old.
