Swindon have signed Derby County duo Timi Elsnik and Kellan Gordon on season-long loans. The pair become Swindon’s thirteenth and fourteenth signing of the summer.
Elsnik made his debut for The Rams in the cup against Carlisle United. He has represented Slovenia at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level. Many Derby fans tipped him for being a first-team player this season.
While Gordon made the most appearances for Derby’s U-23 side last season. He signed his first professional contract in 2015, and he played against Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup.
Swindon gaffer David Flitcroft said “We’re looking to add more players before 11pm.” However, it’s not yet clear if the Derby duo were the players he was trying to get in. Swindon will be looking to hold on to keeper Lawrence Vigouroux before the window shuts.
Town’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end last week when Crawley thumped Swindon 3-0. Swindon will be looking to bounce back on Saturday against Barnet where Elsnik and Gordon will be eligible to play.
Here’s what Derby fans said about the pair:
