Bristol City allow trio to leave

Sky Bet Championship side Bristol City have allowed Taylor Moore, Joe Morrell and Freddie Hinds leave on loan to join Cheltenham Town. They will all play their football at Whaddon Road until January 1st 2018. Cheltenham are managed by Gary Johnson, the father of Bristol City head coach Lee.

The trio will all boost Cheltenham’s squad over the coming months as they look to work their way up the Sky Bet League Two table. Moore, Morrell and Hinds will all likely enjoy regular minutes, more than they would do if they were to remain at Ashton Gate. Bristol City are still hoping to add to their squad before the deadline closes as well.

Gary Johnson expressed his happiness to get the trio to the club,

“We’re delighted to welcome all three players and we hope that they can play a big part in our season. All three are potential Championship players that need the experience of league games and all three meet the character and personality traits for players we want at the club.”

20-year-old Moore has been at the club since 2016 and spent part of last season on loan at Bury, in Sky Bet League One. He is a right back, also able of playing more centrally too.

Central midfielder Morrell impressed in a pre-season match between the two clubs and Johnson Snr has been keeping tabs on the Welshman ever since.

Hinds scored in Carabao Cup wins over Plymouth Argyle and Premier League Watford this season for Bristol City, but has been allowed to move on to play much more regularly. The young striker is seen as one for the future, but Cheltenham want him to make a big impression immediately.
