Hull beat QPR to the signature of Wolves striker

Hull have beaten QPR to the signature of Nouha Dicko. Both sides have been interested in signing the 25-year-old however he has penned a three-year deal with The Tigers. He has signed for an undisclosed fee.

Leonid Slutsky has been on the lookout for a new striker ever since star striker Abel Hernandez got an injury which keeps him out for six months. Dicko has experience in the Championship but will he be able to replace Hernandez?

The Daily Record reported that QPR had a £3 million bid accepted for Dicko, but yesterday the Express & Star stated that Hull had their second bid of £3.5 million accepted.

Dicko has been allowed to leave despite playing in all seven of Wolves’ games so far. Dicko needs no introduction to the Hull fans as he scored in Wolves 3-2 win against The Tigers. He has scored 34 goals in four seasons for Wolves.

The 25-year-old said this about his move  “I am really happy to be here and hopefully it is going to be a good time for the Club and for me,”

He continued “It’s a move that has been on the cards for a couple of weeks, ever since Wolves played Hull up here. I found out that Hull City were interested in signing me and things started moving from there. I’m glad that everything is sorted now and I’m looking forward to settling down here and getting started.”

Hull currently sit 8th in the Championship and they face Derby next Friday as they look to make it three wins from six games.
