Scunthorpe United are set to make a move to sign Crystal Palace’s Freddie Ladapo on loan according to a report from journalist Alan Nixon.
Even though Ladapo is only 24-years-old, he has already been around a lot. He started his career in the Southend United academy before moving onto Colchester United. He spent three years there having a spell with Kidderminster Harriers but would soon move onto playing for Margate. He impressed so much there he was able to earn a contract with Crystal Palace, though he is yet to make an appearance for the Eagles. He has also been on several loan spells away and has played for the likes of Grays Athletic, Oldham Athletic and Shrewsbury Town.
But while Ladapo would like to get some first team football with the team he is contracted to, it appears like he might be heading back out on loan. After missing out on in the Sky Bet League One play-offs last season, the Iron are once again hoping to challenge for a spot in the top six again and are going about in the right way, with them currently being 6th in the league.
But Scunthorpe want to add more talent to their squad to make sure they do end up in the battle for the play-offs and don’t end up faltering and Ladapo is the man they want. He has been able to bag a few goals in his last few loan spells in League 1 and will hope to improve on that should he move to Scunthorpe.
