Leeds United have sold striker Chris Wood to Burnley for a fee rumoured to be around the £15million mark.
Two days ago the Whites’ striker pulled out of the trip to Sunderland, releasing a statement that said he was not prepared to play while there was ongoing transfer talk regarding his Leeds United future.

Burnley have always had an eye on Wood but have only recently had their third bid accepted for the front-man.
Wood signed for Leeds in 2015 for a fee reported to be around £3million. His debut season at Elland Road saw the 25-year-old net thirteen times as the Yorkshire side finished 13th in the Sky Bet Championship.
Last season he improved his form and finished as the League’s top goalscorer with 27.
Leeds were unaffected by Wood’s absence at Sunderland as goals from Samu Saiz and Stuart Dallas were enough to see-off the League newcomers at the Stadium of Light.
Wood’s departure from Elland Road may be a loss of a goalscoring threat, however the Sun suggest that Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen already has a list of potential options, including Sheffield Wednesday’s Jordan Rhodes.
Rhodes has not yet found the goalscoring form that earned him the move to Hillsborough, but his previous record of scoring for fun at Huddersfield Town and Blackburn Rovers has made him a prolific talisman at Championship level.
Speaking in a statement on his Twitter account, Wood wished all the best to his former employers but admitted the chance to play in England’s top-flight was one too big to turn down.
