According to the Sun Fleetwood have rejected Cardiff’s bid for Amari’i Bell. However, Cardiff are weighing up a new offer for the 23-year-old.
Amari’i Bell started his career with Birmingham. While he was with the Blues, he went out on loan to Nuneaton, Kidderminster Harriers, Mansfield Town, Swindon Town, and Gillingham. Bell only made one appearance for Birmingham, and it came against Leicester in a 2-1 defeat.
After Bell was released from Birmingham, he signed for Fleetwood despite interest from Gillingham. Amari’i Bell played an important part in Fleetwood’s successful campaign last season, as Uwe Rosler’s side reached the play-off semi-finals. His performances have attracted interest from Cardiff, and a number of League One clubs.
Bell is entering the final year of his contract at Highbury. With interest from Cardiff, the pacy left-back may be looking for a move to a Championship club. It’s also being reported that Hull are interested in the 23-year-old, but no bid has been made by the Tigers.
Neil Warnock is in the market for a new left-back after the Bluebirds current starting left-back Joe Bennet has attracted interest from Fulham.
Warnock said this about Fulham’s interest in Bennet ” I think he has a buyout clause in his contract. Therefore it’s up to them, if they meet it then they’re entitled to talk to him.
” It doesn’t mean he’s going anywhere, but they’re entitled to talk to him.”
Cardiff currently occupy top spot in the Championship after three games. The Bluebirds have won all three of their games, and they face Wolves at Molineux on Saturday.
