Nottingham Forest set to announce new signing

Sky Bet Championship club Nottingham Forest are thought to be extremely close to announcing a new arrival at The City Ground according to the Nottingham Post.

At this point, the identity of The Reds’ new man is unknown although the player is thought to be AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Adam Federici.

Forest have been strongly linked with the 32-year-old Australian international stopper in the past few days and with Federici out of favour at Dean Court, it is believed that the player could be sold to The Reds or loaned to them for the remainder of the campaign.

Federici joined AFC Bournemouth on a free transfer in summer 2015 after his contract expired with former club Reading however the keeper has had to be content with being used as a back-up during his time with The Cherries.

The former Fulham apprentice made 12 appearances for AFC Bournemouth during his first campaign with the club while he was fielded on just five occasions last term with three of those outings coming in cup competitions.

Federici was named Reading’s Player of the Season in 2014/2015 and the player is more than capable of excelling in the Sky Bet Championship. The keeper made 253 appearances in total for The Royals and would bring a wealth of experience with him should he move to The City Ground.
