According to a report from BBC Sport, promising young Brentford defender Tom Field has signed for Sky Bet League 1 side Bradford City on a loan deal until January.
The 20-year-old impressed during his time at the youth set up at his parent club, where he arrived as a 15-year-old in 2012, following spells at Kingstonian and Leatherhead in his youth career days.
The young left-back made the step up to the senior side at Griffin Park in 2015, but did not feature until last season, where he made 17 appearances in all competitions, and even scored three goals, and impressed immensely at Championship level.
The youngster, who was born in Kingston Upon Thames in England, but has represented the Republic of Ireland at under 16 level, will be brought to Valley Parade to replace Bradford full back Adam Chicksen, who is said to be out for at least six weeks after he fractured his cheek bone in ‘The Bantams’ 2-1 victory over newly promoted Blackpool on Saturday.
The Yorkshire club will be looking to push for promotion again this season, following the heartache of last season, where Millwall scored in the dying embers of the play off final to secure promotion ahead of them, and made the best possible start by earning the three points this weekend.
Next up for Bradford is a Carabao Cup clash with Doncaster Rovers tomorrow, followed by a trip away to Gillingham on Saturday, and the youngster will be looking to make his mark, and help Bradford try to improve on last year.
