Coventry City have signed former Barnsley, Motherwell and Celtic winger Jim O’Brien on a two-year deal the Coventry Telegraph confirms.
The Scottish winger made 121 appearances for Barnsley, scoring seven goals in his time with the club since 2010. He scored four goals in sixty four games for Motherwell from the wings as well.
Coventry have been looking to bring in a new winger as a replacement for Mark Marshall since Marshall left for league 1 rivals Port Vale.
City have also signed Danny Swanson from Peterborough, the midfielder made 79 appearances for the Posh bagging five goals, He is seen as a replacement for Franck Moussa who departed for Championship Charlton Atheltic.
The 27 year old has also played for Dundee United where he made 107 appearances scoring 12 goals.
