Wolves confirm yet another stunning signing

Wolves have signed Diogo Jota on loan for the season from Atletico Madrid as confirmed by the club website.

If it was the Black Country side’s aim to make a big splash this summer, they have certainly succeed. They raised eyes all across the world when they completed a deal to sign Ruben Neves from FC Porto for £15m, a player that teams such as Arsenal and Manchester United were said to be interested in. But this isn’t the only big name Wolves want to bring to Molineux and they’ve now completed a deal to sign another high-profile player.

They have completed a deal to sign Jota on loan from Atletico Madrid for the season. He worked with Wolves’ head coach Nuno Espirito Santo last season when he was out on loan with FC Porto and now he will get a chance to link up with him again as they look to make a push for promotion, something they weren’t able to do last season.

Following his move to Wolves, Jota said: “I am very excited,”

“Wolves is a huge club and an historic club.

“It is always a goal for me to play in England and this is a good opportunity for me.

“It is good for me to work with Nuno again because I know him and worked with him last year.

“I have also worked with some of the other players here as well.

“That will help me settle in here.

“It is always better when there are people that you know when you are moving to something different – a different country with a different language.

“Playing in the Championship will be very hard and very competitive with a lot of games.

“It will be a good experience for me.

“I will always do my best for the fans – I will do a lot of running for sure and hopefully will score goals and provide assists.”
