Caulker to QPR?

Steven Caulker has apparently had a bid agreed over him by Cardiff and QPR. This is according to reliable SkySports journalist Michael Bridge.

Caulker was one of Cardiff’s standout performers throughout the season alongside Jordan Mutch and David Marshall who are also expected to depart the Welsh club.

Caulker who is 22 standing at 6 ft 3 in is an strong force in the air and a solid defender. He scored five goals from 37 appearances at centre-back last season for the club and since signing from Spurs was tipped to show his talent. The English defender has also made an international appearance and scored in that game against Sweden in a 4-2 loss in a friendly. The defender is well known from set pieces for his ability to throw himself at the ball and make darting runs into the box from set pieces.

With QPR also tipped for Rio Ferdinand’s signature for Caulker to command the back line alongside the Manchester United legend it is likely it will only help him to improve and become worth even more in the future.

The defender has a bright future ahead of him and the potential £8 million price tag justifies the quality that Caulker has at the back.

If the deal goes through it would be a brilliant bit of business for the newly promoted London club.

The deal however is up to Caulker to decide whether he wishes to move to the club or not. Harry Redknapp quotedWe’ve agreed a fee with Cardiff and it’s now up to Steven to decide his next move.”
