Fulham may battle Black Cats for Brighton & Hove Albion winger

West London club Fulham may be set to join Sky Bet Championship rivals Sunderland in the chase of Brighton & Hove Albion winger Jamie Murphy according to Get West London.

The 27-year-old Glasgow born wideman was a regular for The Seagulls last season as Chris Hughton’s men secured a first promotion to the top flight however it is thought that the player could be sold by Albion this summer.

Glasgow giants Celtic and Rangers are reportedly chasing the midfielder while Sunderland are also believed to be ready to make a move for Murphy. It has now been revealed that Fulham boss Jokanovic is also an admirer of the player and could be set to join the race for the winger’s signature.

Murphy started his career north of the border with Motherwell before being snapped up by then Sky Bet League One club Sheffield United in January 2013 for an undisclosed fee. The winger went on to make 121 appearances for The Blades in all competitions while he weighed in with 21 goals during his time at Bramall Lane.

In August 2015, Brighton & Hove Albion signed the player on a four-year deal and while Murphy has been a regular for The Seagulls in the Sky Bet Championship, it is thought that the East Sussex club do not believe that the winger is ready for top flight football and the midfielder could now be sold.
