Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga has completed his £14 million move to The Reds’ Sky Bet Championship rivals Middlesbrough after passing a medical on Teesside.
The 24-year-old Zaire born hotshot’s move comes as no real surprise with the player having been strongly linked with Boro in recent days.
Assombalonga netted 30 goals in 69 appearances for Forest and his goalscoring talent could be missed at The City Ground. After hearing news that the transfer had been completed, Forest fans took to Twitter to give their views on the deal.

Genuinely thought I had got my head around Britt going and was fine with it. Then it becomes official and I am fuming. #nffc

Going to miss Britt, one of the best natural finishers since Earnshaw. £14m is good money if it lets us maneuver in the market though #NFFC

Question is how long before we replace him with a quality ST? Took us 3 years with from earnie departure to britt signing #nffc

When a player wants to go, let him go. It might be ol news but #nffc was the best club in the world, these "players" are nowhere near that.

Sad to see Britt go but want to wish him luck with ' boro. Too good an offer to turn down, with double wages and crack at promotion #nffc

Disappointing to see Britt go & not sure how you replace him, but £15m for a player that doesn't want to be here is good business. #NFFC

Forest signed Assombalonga for a near £6 million transfer fee from Peterborough United in August 2014 after the player had netted 33 goals in 58 appearances for The Posh.
