Fulham have agreed a fee to sign Bordeaux striker Diego Rolan for around £5 million according to a report from Sky Sports.
The London club now has to agree personal terms with the player, before finalising the deal, as he makes the switch to the Sky Bet Championship.
The Uruguayan started his career at Defensor Sporting in his homeland of Uruguay, where he scored 10 in 38 appearances, before moving to his current club Bordeaux in the French top-tier.
The 24-year-old has 33 goals in 121 appearances for the French giants, and is also a Uruguayan international, with 4 goals from 23 appearances.
The Bordeaux man is expected to complete his move to Craven Cottage within the coming weeks, as Fulham look to strengthen for the upcoming campaign.
Rolan is a bit of an all round attacker. He has pace and is able to run in behind defences, he has strength so is able to hold up play if needed, and is good in the air.
Fulham are undoubtedly looking to bounce back after a disappointing loss to Reading in the play-offs last time out, and will be looking to go one better by returning to the Premier League this upcoming campaign.
With the competition at an all time high in the league, with no team looking like they will run away with the trophy, three-quarters of the teams in the Sky Bet Championship will feel that they have a real chance of claiming promotion, and Fulham are definitely in this category, and a signing like Rolan could be what Fulham need to do this.
