Top 5 Championship transfers of the window so far

There’s been a lot of action in the Summer transfer window so far with millions upon millions of pounds spent. We’re about a quarter of the way through the transfer window officially opening so we’re taking a look at who are the top five acquisitions so far?

Martin Braithwaite (Toulouse to Middlesbrough)

After last seasons poor attacking performances and due as their top scorer, Alvaro Negredo, has returned back to his parent club following his loan spell at Boro, Boro are crying out for a goalscorer and many think Braithwaite could be the man for them. For a quite high fee of just under £10m Boro have bought themselves a striker who has scored 59 goals and set up 23 in 246 career appearances. This may not seem too impressive but he has played on the wing and in central midfield several times in his career. Braithwaite has also made 16 appearances for his national team of Denmark.

Ezgjan Alioski (FC Lugano to Leeds United)

The Macedonian international has spent most of his career as a left-back. Alioski has only been playing as a forward for a season now. But in his first season as an out and out attacker he scored a massive 20 goals and assisted on 16 occasions in just 54 appearances. Leeds United fans should be very excited about this lad and for a fee of just £1.7m Leeds have robbed Lugano blind. Alioski and Chris Wood will be a deadly partnership next season and they’ll be a partnership every defence should be worried about.
