Sky Bet Championship club Queens Park Rangers are set to compete in unusual circumstances when they face Peterborough United in a pre-season friendly at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday afternoon according to Get West London.
The R’s started off their pre-season schedule with a trip to National League outfit Bromley while Hoops manager Ian Holloway made use of his full squad by facing Sky Bet Championship rivals Reading in two behind-closed-doors friendly matches last weekend.
QPR’s third opponents come in the form of Sky Bet League One outfit Peterborough United however The R’s short trip north will provide a slightly obscure test with the match set to be played out in four 30-minute halves of football rather than the traditional 90 minutes.
The change to the match duration has been agreed to allow QPR boss Holloway to again assess his full squad with competition for places at Loftus Road being as strong as ever. The West Londoners lost 2-1 and 5-2 to Reading last time out and Holloway will be looking for a good response to those defeats from his squad.
Opponents Peterborough United have travelled to non league sides St Albans City and Nuneaton Town so far in their pre-season schedule and The Posh will provide a difficult test for The R’s after winning both of those matches.
