Championship trio Leeds United, Wolves and Bristol City are set to battle it out to sign 18-year-old Chelsea wonderkid Ike Ugbo on loan for the season, according to

The Whites have already added Samuel Saiz from AS Huesca this summer, as well as signing much-coveted striker Caleb Ekuban, with Macedonian winger Ezgjan Alioski also set to join the Championship club from Swiss outfit Lugano in the coming days, but Thomas Christiansen still wants to add the teenager to his attacking ranks, which already hold last season’s top scorer Chris Wood.

Wolves are also interested in snapping up the Nigerian striker on loan for the season, with a move to bring former striker Benik Afobe back to the club from Bournemouth reportedly stalling and speculation over a deal for Porto’s Cameroonian international Vincent Aboubakar amounting to nothing.

Manager Nuno Santo’s has made waves this summer at Molineux already, completing high profile signings such as Portuguese wonderkid Ruben Neves as well as his Porto teammate Wily Boly and the signings look set to keep on coming thick and fast, with Wolves now in for the Chelsea man.

Bristol City are also looking to rival Chelsea’s feeder club, Vitesse, for the 18-year-old striker, but Wolves and Leeds are considered the frontrunners to sign the youngster.

Ugbo is considered one of the brightest talents in the Chelsea academy, having notched an impressive 60 goals over the past three seasons for the youth sides, but Antonio Conte is keen to send the teenager on loan to a Championship side to help him gain match experience this season.
