Sheffield Wednesday, Fulham and Preston North End are battling to sign Manchester City’s Tosin Adarabioyo on loan according to a report from The Times.
When people think about the money that Manchester City have spent, they tend to think about the big name players they have brought to the Etihad Stadium. However the club have also spent a lot of money on trying to make their youth system the best in the world and Adarabioyo is an example that the money is being well spent. The 19-year-old defender has been a great player for their developmental teams and has already been capped by the England youth teams at several different levels.
But to make sure his development continues as Manchester City want so he can become the first teamer they believe he can be, they are looking to loan him out so he gets regular action at a competitive level. And with Adarabioyo being rated as one of the best young defenders in the country, there are plenty of teams now in the chase to sign him for the season.
Three Sky Bet Championship teams, all of which will be pushing for the top places in the league this year, are in the race with Sheffield Wednesday, Fulham and Preston all looking to sign him. They are all on the look out for new defenders and believe even with his inexperience that Adarabioyo could be a big player for them. However they all face stiff competition from Newcastle United who also want to sign him on loan.
