Sky Bet League Two side Lincoln City have signed winger Jordan Maguire-Drew on-loan from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The tricky winger spent last season on-loan at Lincoln’s Vanarama National League rivals Dagenham & Redbridge, scoring 15 times in all competitions throughout his 46 appearances for the Daggers.

The naturally left-footed winger came on as a 66th minute substitute in the Daggers’ meeting at Sincil Bank, a game that John Still’ side lost 2-0.

Over half of the Imps’ goals last season came from dead-ball situations and Imps boss Danny Cowley is hoping that the left winger will increase that threatening statistic.

Speaking after signing the winger on a season-long loan deal at Sincil Bank, the Imps boss said: “To have that balance is going to be really important for us going forward.

“He has an unbelievable left foot, and he’ll help us improve on the pitch as we lacked a bit of left-sided balance last season.

“He has a wonderful left-footed delivery, which for us wanting to get into advanced wide areas will certainly add something,” added Cowley.

“Fifty four per cent of our goals came from set-pieces last season and his fantastic set-piece delivery too will add quality to the group.”

The Imps won promotion to the Football League following a six-year exodus after beating Macclesfield Town 2-1 at Sincil Bank with three games in the League season remaining.

The Lincolnshire side have been bolstering their squad recently, tying Alex Woodyard down with a two-year deal after Josh Vickers and Billy Knott joined the Vanarama National League.
